Pichaske headed to UCLA for Sneak Peak at Zuluhoops

TV Lab Director Kristin Pichaske is headed to UCLA in April for a sneak preview of her latest documentary, Zuluhoops.  Pichaske first screened the work-in-progress last fall at the International Fulbright Association Conference in Washington, DC, and after receiving a standing ovation from the audience of 350, the invitations started pouring in.

“It feels a little strange to be showing a film that still has a few months of editing left, but a lot of the heads of Fulbright chapters in various cities wanted to screening to their members back home and they don’t want to wait until it’s done,” says Pichaske.  “I really want people who are engaged in international exchanges to see this film and it’s a great opportunity to get feedback on the work in progress, so I’m happy to see this happening so early in the process.”  Zuluhoops has already played in Belgrade and London with more requests pending.

The screening will take place on April 4th, 3pm-7pm, at UCLA’s Fowler Museum and is open to the public.  A reception with Pichaske and Ken Mukai, the main character in the film, will follow.  RSVP here.
